There are no specific requirements for Board membership. We prefer to have people who are engaged in the LGBT community and who want to help achieve our mission of supporting the history, culture and general well-being of the LGBT community as a volunteer led and managed organization.

Sam, we don’t plan the programming. We support those who want to plan programming. If you have an idea that you want to get off the ground that promotes the culture, history, or well-being of the LGBT community, let us know and we will do what we can to make it a reality.

The Pride Foundation exists to support Maryland's LGBT community.

We will promote and demonstrate the contributions of LGBT people in American society. We will encourage knowledge of our history and the furtherance of our distinct culture. We will help all members of the LGBT community organize events and programs that increase our visibility and sustain our well-being. We will celebrate the truth of our lives however we choose to express ourselves.

We will maintain the necessary digital and regulatory infrastructure as a common good available to those who wish to join us in fulfilling this mission. And we will employ the resources of the Foundation with prudence, always respecting the diversity of our community.
